Mission
The
work of CODERSA is based on four pillars:
 |
Poverty
reduction
– Essential elements to eliminate hunger, undernourishment and lack of
satisfaction of basic needs are the improvement of production quality,
agricultural and forest productivity, rural industry development, and the
market entries.
|
 |
Strengthening
social participation
- This focus recognizes and understands
that rural men and women have their own local knowledge to propose solutions
to their problems. External agents facilitate and maintain this process
through contributing information, methodologies and contacts for project
administration.
|
 |
Sustainable
management of natural resources
– The approach of viable options from an economic and social point of view
for the integral use of natural resources contributes to the improvement of
quality of life in the rural area and on a higher level, to the improvement
of the national economy.
|
 |
Gender
equity
– The knowledge of the generic reality of each community allows for rural
and forest development actions to gradually diminish existing gender
inequalities.
|
These
pillars are incorporated both in the work of formulating, planning, executing
and evaluating
sustainable
rural development projects and programs and in the provision of training
services, technical and environmental impact studies.
